The Secret to Longevity: Mastering the "Orli™ Wiggle"

While Orli™ cups are built to last a lifetime of celebrations, they do require a specific touch. Because our high-performance silicone is designed to create a tight, leak-proof seal around your candle, pulling a wax plug straight up can actually create a vacuum.

Exerting too much vertical force or "tugging" on the cup can lead to accidental tearing. To keep your cups in perfect condition, we teach the Wiggle Method:

  • Don’t Pull—Wiggle: Instead of pulling upward, gently move the wax plug from side-to-side.

  • Break the Seal: This "wiggle" breaks the vacuum seal and allows the air to enter, letting the wax plug pop out effortlessly.

  • Pressure-Free Cleaning: By using technique over tension, you protect the silicone and ensure your cups stay as beautiful as the day you bought them.

Pro-Tip: Remember, the Water Moat is your cup's best friend! Always fill the outer cavity to the brim. The water not only protects the silicone from heat damage but also helps "squelch" the flame, making that wax plug even easier to wiggle out once cooled.

IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Carefully review the video tutorial and follow ALL listed safety precautions.

Improper use and/or failure to follow these instructions could result in fire, serious harm, or even Death.

Windy conditions can amplify the flame and ignite the candle cups.

AVOID DRAFTS

Wicks taller than .25in / 6mm pose an immediate risk to the silicone candle cups.

TRIM WICKS

Non-traditional menorahs that stack neighboring candle sockets in a stair step manner or vary the proximity/ spacing of the shamash/ helper candle less than 30mm apart may pose a risk of igniting the neighboring cup due to interference.

REFRAIN FROM USING

A blank white sheet of paper with no visible markings or objects.

Do not use candles that exceed 4in / 100mm in height or wax overflow can occur. Do not use tapered candles as base is unstable.

CANDLE COMPATIBIITY

Burn Candles within sight. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

WARNING

Do not use menorah if the spacing between each candle socket is less than 1.2in / 30mm

Two paint nozzles labeled 'ori' with a width measurement of 1.2 inches or 30 millimeters between them.

MENORAH SPACING

Excessive flames as they pose a risk of fire. Allow to cool and trim wick before relighting.

IMMEDIATELY EXTINGUISH

Pick up or move a menorah, candle or candle cup after lighting.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Step-by-step guide to using a candle making kit, including adding resin, inserting wicks, pouring wax, and assembling finished candles.

Place silicone Candle Cups into the candle sockets of a compatible menorah. Load Chanukah candles into the inner cavity of the silicone Candle Cups starting from the right side first

  • 1

LOAD

Using the Shamash (helper candle), begin lighting the newest candle first and light the remaining candles in order from left to right, After Lighting, place the Shamash back into the Candle Cup’s inner cavity.

  • 2

LIGHT

Using the 5ml dropper, carefully fill the outer cavity of each Candle Cup to surround the candle with tap water. When the candles burn down, the water helps protect the silicone from catching fire while squelching the flame and solidifying the wax plug for safe removal.

  • 3

FILL

After the wax has cooled, Remove the Candle Cups from the menorah one at a time. While holding over a sink / trash receptacle dump the water. Pull back on the outer walls to reveal / expose the inner socket. Pinch the outer walls and gently wiggle the wax plug from side-to-side. This "wiggle" helps break the vacuum seal and allows air to enter, letting the wax plug pop out effortlessly. Access and dispose of the remaining solidified wax plug. Using this technique over tension / tugging will prevent tears, protect the silicone and ensure your cups stay as beautiful as the day you bought them. Rinse with water and wipe clean. The Candle Cups can be reused and reset infinitely.
